The Audiovisual Technician reports to the A/V Project Manager and will work alongside the project manager and lead technician to implement A/V plans in a commercial setting in conjunction with other departments (e.g., structured cabling). The ideal applicant will be a self-motivated professional with knowledge of standard construction procedures and industry practices. The A/V Tech will be expected to quickly become familiar with ongoing projects and work efficiently to ensure that projects are completed on-time and under budget.


  • Hanging J-hooks
  • Pulling cable
  • Terminations 
  • Installing touch panels
  • Installing wall plates
  • Installing ceiling speakers 
  • Installing projectors/screens
  • Building out/wiring A/V equipment racks
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
  • Maintaining a high level of professionalism when interacting with customers on an as-needed basis


  • High school diploma or GED
  • OSHA-10 (or willingness to obtain upon start)
  • 1 year of audiovisual experience
  • Reliable transportation 
  • Willingness to submit a drug screen and background check
  • Positive attitude and excellent work ethic
  • Familiarity with industry standards
  • Availability and willingness to work nights or weekends as needed
  • Ability to maintain quality of work and professionalism under stressful deadlines


  • InfoComm CTS Certification
  • Ability to test and commission control systems
  • Strong troubleshooting experience
  • Experience working primarily from technical drawings, diagrams, and work orders
  • Formalized training from major A/V vendors (e.g., Crestron, Biamp, QSC, Extron)
  • Extremely computer proficient
  • Ability to configure, load firmware, and set IP addresses on network devices
